In diesem Jahr wurden Dr. Adeilton Dean Marques Valois, Dr. Adrian Meyer-Ahrens und Dr. Pavish Subramani für ihre herausragenden wissenschaftlichen Leistungen im Rahmen ihrer Dissertationen mit dem NRW-FAIR PhD-Preis ausgezeichnet.
Der Preis würdigt sowohl theoretische als auch experimentelle Arbeiten von herausragender Qualität.Dr. Adeilton Dean Marques Valois erhielt den PhD-Preis für Theorie für seine bahnbrechende theoretische Arbeit. Er schloss seine Doktorarbeit im Jahr 2025 an der Universität Bielefeld ab. Seine Dissertation mit dem Titel “Thermal QCD on the lattice – from finite density to non-uniform magnetic fields” wurde von Prof. Gergely Endrődi betreut.
Dr. Adrian Meyer-Ahrens wurde mit dem PhD-Preis für seine herausragende experimentelle Arbeit ausgezeichnet. Er promovierte im Jahr 2025 an der Universität Münster mit dem Thema “Dielectron Performance of the Compressed Baryonic Matter Experiment” unter der Betreuung von Prof. Anton Andronic.
Dr. Pavish Subramani erhielt ebenfalls den PhD-Preis für seine herausragende experimentelle Arbeit. Er schloss seine Doktorarbeit im Jahr 2025 an der Bergischen Universität Wuppertal ab. Seine Arbeit mit dem Titel “Performance qualification of the DIRICH readout system and development of a novel electron reconstruction scheme for the CBM experiment” wurde von Prof. Karl-Heinz Kampert betreut.
Der NRW-FAIR PhD-Preis umfasst jeweils eine Urkunde und ein Preisgeld in Höhe von 3000 € sowie zusätzlich 2000 € Reisegeld. Die Preisverleihung findet auf dem "Concluding (?) event for the NRW-FAIR network" am 16.07.26 statt. Dort werden die Preisträger auch die Gelegenheit haben, ihre Arbeiten in einer Präsentation vorzustellen.

The award ceremony will take place at the "Concluding (?) event for the NRW-FAIR network" on July 16, 2026. There, the award recipients will also have the opportunity to present their work in a presentation.
